### Description
Akira Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress (1958) is both a comic adventure and a formal experiment: an epic story told through the eyes of two bumbling peasants. It plays with point of view, power, and loyalty while laying DNA that later fed into Star Wars. We’ll gather, enjoy the film, and then spend 20–30 minutes nearby unpacking the story and style of filming!

### How we’ll do it
- Before lights down (5 min): I’ll point out three shots to watch for: triangular blocking, deep focus, and crowd churn.
- Film together (2 hrs 20 min).
- After credits (20–30 min at a café nearby): Each person picks one shot that stuck with them, what it showed about point of view, power, or heroism.
