Volunteers Needed for: Kitchen, Cafeteria, Health Centre, or General Helpers

The Gathering Place Community Centre offers programs and services to the Downtown South community. We primarily serve vulnerable populations, including people on lower income, people with disabilities, seniors, people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, the LGBTQ community, and people who are homeless.
We provide accessible and engaging programs with a focus on food and nutrition, health, education, recreation, arts and culture, and community development.

We rely on volunteers to fill many roles, and on financial support from donors to fund programs.
Our low cost programs and services would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers and donors.

Volunteer
As a volunteer, you will receive meal tickets in exchange for your work. We're always looking for volunteers to fill positions in the following areas:

• Kitchen
• Cafeteria
• Pool Room
• Weight Room
• Games Room
• Reading Room
• Learning Centre
• Health Centre
• Pottery Room
• Special Events

The initial sign-up information will be posted in our Event Comments on Meetup, and will be conducted all online. All future events will be organized by the organization during and after your application process.

As soon as the application information is posted in the comments at the stated day and time, please immediately fill out the organization's volunteer application.
