🌊☀️ Kits Beach Hangout - low-pressure Saturday by the water
Casual Curiosity Club hangout - beach, snacks, conversation, no big agenda.
Short summary
Not every meetup needs to become a philosophical pressure cooker.
Sometimes the correct Vancouver move is much simpler: sit near the water, bring a blanket, eat something small, talk to whoever shows up, and remember that the city is actually beautiful when we stop treating it like a calendar problem.
So this one is intentionally easy.
We’ll meet at Kits Beach, find a decent patch of grass / sand, and hang out for a couple hours. Come to chat, people-watch, decompress, or just be outside around friendly humans.
No forced icebreakers.
No networking energy.
No one asking what you “do” in the first five seconds like a malfunctioning LinkedIn bot.
How the afternoon will go
We’ll meet and settle somewhere nearby, and get into smaller groups to chat and chill.
Bring a snack or drink if you want.
Bring a blanket if you have one.
Bring a friend if they’re normal.
If the group feels like walking later, we can wander along the beach / seawall after. If people just want to sit and talk, that’s fine too.
This is more “nice Saturday with good people” than “structured event.”
Bring
- A blanket or something to sit on.
- Water.
- Snacks if you want.
- Sunglasses / sunscreen if the weather is pretending to be summer.
- A sweater, because Vancouver likes to humble people after 6 PM.
