👗✨ Signature Show 2026 - emerging Vancouver designers on the runway

Some Thursday nights are just calendar filler.
This one feels more worth leaving the house for.
LaSalle College Vancouver is putting on Signature Show 2026, a runway showcase featuring student designers from their Fashion Design degree and diploma programs. Original collections, months of work, and a room full of people watching what new designers are trying to say before they become polished into the industry.
That is usually the fun part.
Not fashion as luxury branding.
Not shopping-mall taste.
Not pretending a black outfit automatically makes someone interesting.
I want to see what emerging designers are making when they still have risk in them.
Why this could be a good Curiosity Club night
Student showcases have a different energy than professional events.
They can be uneven, ambitious, strange, overcommitted, surprisingly beautiful, sometimes awkward, sometimes brilliant. That is part of the reason to go.
You’re not just watching clothes. You’re watching people try to turn research, taste, identity, craft, and nerve into something that can survive a runway.
That’s more interesting than another normal Thursday.
How the evening will go
We’ll meet at LaSalle College Vancouver when doors open, get settled, and watch the show together.
Doors open at 5:30 PM.
The show starts at 6:30 PM.
Afterward, whoever wants can stay nearby for a quick drink / snack and the immediate verdict.
A few questions I already want to ask after:
“What collection actually felt like it had a point of view?”
“What looked beautiful but empty?”
“What felt risky?”
“What would you remember a week later?”
“What did the room seem to respond to - taste, spectacle, confidence, weirdness, polish?”
Tickets
Tickets are free, but you need to reserve your own ticket on Eventbrite.
General Admission seating is full / waitlist only.
Student tickets are sold out.
Please choose the 2nd Floor / Balcony (Standing) ticket if it is still available.
There are only a few tickets left, so reserve before you RSVP if possible.
