Commercial Drive is going full festa mode.
Italian Day is back on Sunday, June 14, and this year has extra World Cup electricity sitting around it. The official theme is Campione - champions - which is exactly the kind of slightly dramatic, slightly ridiculous, very Italian idea that belongs on The Drive.
This is not a sit-down cultural lecture. It is a street-wandering afternoon: food, patios, music, vendors, soccer energy, people-watching, and that very Vancouver thing where half the city suddenly remembers it likes public life.
We’ll meet outside Commercial-Broadway Station, walk into the festival together, then drift through the best-looking sections without turning it into a military operation.
The plan
Meet at Commercial-Broadway Station.
Walk north into the festival.
Grab food / coffee / something Italian-adjacent.
Wander, talk, people-watch, and maybe find a good patio or seating area if the crowd allows it.
This is a casual outdoor hangout, not a fixed table event.
