Summary:

Welcome to the first study/discussion of the series: Synesthesia.

Synesthesia is classified as a neurodivergent neurological trait, wherein synesthetes experience more than one of their senses involuntarily blending, in response to what they may be seeing, hearing, tasting, feeling and smelling.
Some people see colors when they hear music, some people taste certain foods or even non-foods when they hear a certain word, some see a vivid motion picture in their mind running in real-time as they read a novel, the list goes on...

In this meetup, we will be discussing two lectures (*links below to be listened to prior to meetup) where neuroscience experts detail some of the different types of synesthesia.

The first hour of the discussion will focus on what we each gathered from the podcasts and how they apply to our living experience.
The second hour - we will open up the discussion into the types of synesthesia we may personally experience and how they improve and challenge our realities.
Through this, we will share and discover methods to manage and regulate ourselves with these involuntary happenings, as well as optimizing how to best use and apply these extraordinary neural pathway gifts of perception!
For those who do not have synesthesia, you are absolutely welcome to come and learn about it!

*Please ensure to listen to the two lectures below prior to the meetup:

• Water or drink for hydration as it is two hours.
