Short summary
Not every Saturday needs to become a project.
Sometimes the better move is simpler:
Walk somewhere beautiful.
Talk to decent people.
Look at the city from above for a minute.
Let the evening slow down before it disappears.
We’re meeting at Queen Elizabeth Park for an easy outdoor social walk/talk around sunset.
This is not a workout.
Not a serious athletic hike.
Not a “let’s crush a route” situation.
Just a relaxed Curiosity Club evening: gardens, views, conversation, and the kind of slower Saturday that Vancouver is actually good at when we stop rushing through it.
A few questions already sitting in my head

• “Why do some places make people talk more honestly?”
• “Does walking make conversation easier than sitting across a table?”
• “What does the city look like when you’re not inside it for once?”
• “When was the last time you had a Saturday evening that did not feel eaten by errands?”
• “Are we better at relaxing, or just better at scheduling relaxation?”

How the evening will go
We’ll meet outside at Henry Moore’s Knife Edge—Two Piece sculpture on the plaza beside the Bloedel Conservatory.
The meeting point is outside, and no Conservatory admission is required.
From there, we’ll keep it easy: walk, talk, pause when people want to pause, and let the evening be social without turning it into a structured discussion.
Come alone or bring a friend if they’re normal.
No forced icebreakers.
No networking energy.
No pretending this is fitness content.
Just a good outdoor hang with enough movement to make conversation feel less stiff.
Practical notes
Wear comfortable shoes.
Bring water and a light layer. Vancouver likes to humble people after sunset.
