🍽️🔥 Cuchillo - Pan-Latin small plates and a sharper Sunday dinner
Details
Small-group restaurant outing. Everyone pays their own bill.
Short summary
Some Sunday dinners are just fuel with better lighting.
This one should have a bit more pulse.
We’re going to Cuchillo on Powell Street, a modern Pan-Latin / Latin American restaurant currently described around small plates and cocktails.
So the vibe is not “giant plate, eat silently, go home.”
It’s more: order a few things, talk across the table, try something interesting, and let the night be a little more social than another default Vancouver dinner.
Not food-critic cosplay.
Not networking.
Not a 12-person TED Talk over appetizers.
Just a small Curiosity Club table, good conversation, and a Sunday night with some actual flavour.
How the evening will go
We’ll meet at Cuchillo at 6:30 PM, get settled, and order naturally from there.
Everyone pays their own bill.
This is a restaurant outing, not a structured discussion event, but the best food nights usually turn into good conversation anyway.
Come ready to share space well: talk, listen, pass plates if people decide to share, and be normal about the fact that restaurant service is not a private performance for us.
Reservation note
The group reservation has not been made yet.
I’ll update the event comments once table details are confirmed.
Please only RSVP if you are genuinely planning to come. A 12-person restaurant table needs real numbers, not “maybe I’ll feel like it” energy.
No-show / cancellation note
If you RSVP and then can’t make it, please cancel as early as possible so someone else can take the spot.
No-shows are especially annoying for small restaurant outings because they affect the table, the group, and the venue.
Translation: don’t be mysterious. Just update your RSVP.

Weekend RSVP policy
Our weekend events regularly have waitlists of 20 or more people. If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP by Thursday evening. This gives someone on the waitlist enough time to make plans and take the available spot.
Members who remain marked as attending and miss two events without cancelling may be removed from the group. Emergencies happen; if something unavoidable comes up, please message the organizer.
Keeping your RSVP accurate helps limited seats go to people who can actually attend.
