Men’s Community Circle #2
Details
Discussion/community circle for men. No preparation.
What this is
Making friends as a kid was mostly proximity.
School, sports, games, cafeteria nonsense, being stuck near the same people long enough that friendship just happened.
Adult life is trickier.
Everyone is busy, tired, independent, half-scheduled, and “we should hang out sometime” becomes the easiest sentence in the world to never act on.
This circle is about adult male friendship after school: why it gets harder, how loneliness hides behind being busy or self-sufficient, and what it actually takes to initiate plans, show up consistently, and let friendship become more honest.
A few questions for the room
- “Why do men let friendships fade even when they actually like each other?”
- “What makes initiating plans feel awkward or needy?”
- “What does consistency look like without making friendship feel like another chore?”
This is a discussion and community circle, not therapy.
