🤝 Speed Friending: Books, Movies & Good Conversation

🤝 We're meeting at El Comal Downtown for speed friending.

We often learn what someone does before we learn what holds their attention. A book, a film or a small obsession can reveal a side of a person that a job title leaves out. There is a difference between having the same favourite film and being interested in why someone else loves one you cannot stand. What makes you want to keep talking: shared taste, an unexpected disagreement, or the feeling that the other person is genuinely listening?

The plan
We'll spend ten minutes in conversation at each table, then rotate.
Conversation question cards will be available to help get things started.

• Which book or film would you recommend for a reason that has nothing to do with its plot?
• What small interest could you happily talk about for ten minutes?
• What have you enjoyed lately that you weren't expecting to like?
