"How Microsoft Teams Supports First Line Workers" - Torren Manson

Firstline Workers (i.e. store staff, airline crews) comprise the majority of the global workforce and play a critical role in the global economy.

Firstline Worker functionality in Microsoft Teams allows for scheduling, communications, collaboration, access to data and AI. All of this functionality is tuned to Firstline Worker, yet integrates with the rest of the O365 and Azure functionality familiar to Information Workers.

Torren will present an overview, then dive into live demos of functionality

Presenter bio: Torren Manson is a Principal Consultant for Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams, as well as the supporting Office 365 functions. His areas of expertise are first deployments of new UC features and technologies, the entire SfB Enterprise Voice feature set, and building large, complex environments that work.

"Compliance in the Cloud" - Michael Schweitzer

We will look at how Office 365 approaches data governance as well as how emerging technologies like block-chain and machine learning may play a future roll in meeting organizational needs around compliance in the cloud. We’ll also look at third party design patterns for enterprise data governance in the cloud and hybrid (on premises and cloud based) content scenarios.

Presenter bio: Michael is the founder and principal consultant for Gravity Union, a boutique consultancy that focuses on creating effective ECM solutions with SharePoint and add-ons like Collabware CLM and Nintex. Michael has spoken at both Microsoft Tech Days and ARMA Canada (the Canadian chapter of the American Records Management Association).
