New Meetup: Delta Watersheds mud ride

Announcing a new Meetup for Vancouver Mountain Bike Meetup!

What: Delta Watersheds mud ride

When: Saturday, December 18,[masked]:00 AM

Where: Delta Watersheds
Pinewood Elementary School 11777 Pinewood Drive
Delta, BC V4E 3E9

Come on out for some fun in the mud. This is a more XC and social oriented ride and we'll have some fun getting wet, getting fit and making friends.

The pace will be determined by the group. I haven't been on my bike in a month so I know I'll be a bit slow.

We will likely be stopping to session a few areas where there are some jumps or some stunts to ride. These are optional, you can ride them or not as you like.

This is a great ride for newbies starting out. It will not be fast or technical. Expect some climbing with lots of stops to chat.

After our ride we'll go to Starbucks to warm up. I recommend bringing a change of clothes in case we're really muddy.

If the group is large and we have an extra AO, we might split up into two groups.

Should the weather turn nasty, the ride will be canceled. Please check back here if you're not sure, I will update Saturday am if the weather is doubtful.

Meet up and the AOs are volunteers and do not accept responsibility for the safety of the riders in the group. All riders are responsible for their own safety. Helmets are mandatory for all rides, arm and shin pads are strongly recommended. You also need water, tools to fix a flat at least and you should have some food, extra clothes appropriate to the season and weather and a basic first aid kit. Basically, you need to be self sufficient in the event you get separated from the group.

Hope to see you there.
