In 2009, local tourism operator; Randy Vannatter; former chair of Vancouver AM (the city's breakfast club" started Vancouver's Oscar Party. We have hosted this community event for many years raising thousands of dollars for charity. Each year we invite the film, movie and tourism industry to get together to fellowship and enjoy watching the Academy Awards at a Gala event together. Vancouver Oscar Party is Hollywood North's largest Academy Awards Viewing Party.
