Lynn Canyon Loop & Rice Lake Walk

Distance: 5.8 km
Elevation Gain: 148 m
Estimated Time: about 2 hours

Join your host Mia for a relaxed and scenic walk through Lynn Canyon and up to Rice Lake. This is an easygoing loop with beautiful forest views, fresh air, and plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings and chat along the way.

We’ll start at Lynn Canyon and head toward Rice Lake, crossing the famous Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge along the route. The trails are mostly loose gravel and soil, and depending on the weather, some sections may be muddy, so please wear proper footwear. The pathway is surrounded by tall trees, making this a lovely walk whether it’s sunny or cloudy.

Meeting location:
We will meet near Lynn Canyon Cafe inside Lynn Canyon Park. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

Parking / Transit:
Parking in the area is paid (price may vary), and since we could be out for two hours or more, transit may be the easier option. The bus stops close to the park, and I will most likely be taking transit myself.

Please note:
This trail can get very busy, so for this event please leave dogs at home. This will help keep the group moving smoothly and make it easier to stay together.

What to bring:

Comfortable walking or hiking shoes

Water

A light snack if you need one

A jacket in case the weather changes

Looking forward to a peaceful forest walk with everyone 🌿✨
