Starting one's own business after 50 years of age seems unfathomable to many of us. Yet, here we are. We are living longer and healthier lives than ever before. We're given opportunities our forebears never had. We are more mobile. We can communicate instantaneously with anyone anywhere. We're more educated. And we're open to brand new possibilities: new partners, new communities, and different work.

In our career "resets" several of us conclude that it's time we create our own "gig" for the very first times in our lives. Scary. You bet. But so rich with exciting possibilities--that too!

This Meetup is intended to be highly interactive, business solution focused and intentionally supportive. Ths mini-workshop on Sept. 11 will address the following:

2. Challenges you may face when starting a business at 50 or over
3. Emotional Roadblocks
4. Resources to Leverage
5. Finding a Marketable Idea
6. And Last but not Least: Daily Affirmations for the Faint of Heart

We hope to break into dyads and triads for the second half of the Meetup so participants can also network more easily and provide concrete ideas to each other in this time of career transition.
