It's Canada's 158th Birthday! Let's Celebrate Canada together at Canada Place

Details

If ever there was a time to celebrate Canada it’s now! Let’s get out there and show our Canadian Pride! 🇨🇦

Canada Day is a time for Canadians to come together and celebrate "all that makes Canada the best country in the world to call home,” so..... bring your camera, don some red & white, chill out and have a good time!

There will be lots to photograph including street entertainers, amazing music and dance performances, extreme sports, food carts and cuisine. The MS Queen Elizabeth, and the Disney Wonder will be docked and this is a great place to capture some very "interesting" people and their pets.

For a complete schedule of the days events go to http://www.canadaplace.ca

What should I bring:

A camera, it doesn't matter if you have a cameraphone, a point and shoot camera or a digital SLR, any camera is fine....because of the large crowds maybe minimal gear.

Make sure you wear some red & white and be sure you are comfortable and dressed for whatever our weather may be that day.....if it is raining, I may not attend, but I also won’t cancel as I know others will still want to attend.

Where will we meet?

LET’S MEET FOR COFFEE FIRST at Deville coffee at 10:00.

If you can’t join us for coffee,
we will meet in front of Deville coffee (it’s across the street from the Waterfront Skytrain Station) just before 11:00 AM, then proceed from there to Canada Place. The photo-walk will last 2 hours, but feel free to stay as long as you like.

Because of the large crowds and all the different activities taking place it will be impossible to stay together as a group. If you feel uncomfortable about wandering around by yourself, bring a friend or two along to join in the celebrations!

How do I get there?

You can catch a bus, the seabus or skytrain. Check your route details on Google Map or at www.translink.ca. You can also drive.....for information on downtown parking lots.....www.bestparking.com/vancouver-parking.

Disclaimer:

AT ALL TIMES, PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOURSELF AND YOUR FELLOW PHOTO WALKERS, YOUR PROPERTY AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS! VANCOUVER PHOTOWALKS AND ITS ORGANIZERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU OR LOSS OF YOUR BELONGINGS!

By signing up for this photowalk, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the above.

AFTER THE MEET-UP DON'T FORGET TO UPLOAD UP TO EIGHT OF YOUR BEST IMAGES. Any more than 8 per person will be removed.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
