With its soaring architecture, spectacular sea-to-sky views and stunning Northwest Coast First Nations art collection, the Museum of Anthropology at UBC is a must-see among Vancouver museums. The Great Hall, with its magnificent carved house poles, and Haida artist Bill Reid’s cedar sculpture, “The Raven and the First Men”are not to be missed. Try not to rush your visit to this acclaimed BC museum — the impressive collections of global art and artifacts are worth your time.

Where will we meet?
We will meet in the lobby at 12:00 say our hellos, discuss options for coffee and then head into the museum. We will wander around until 1:30 then meet for coffee. Please feel free to spend some more time on your own in the museum after this.
Adult admission is $25.
Senior admission is $22.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the museum
What do I need to bring?
Any camera is fine......Camera phone....Point and Shoot....DSLR. Anything is fine. Selfies sticks, tripods, and flash are not allowed. Photography of some items may be restricted or for personal or research use only.
Backpacks and larger items are not permitted inside the Museum but they have locker rentals for 25 cents.
How do I get there?

For those driving, there is parking in front of the Museum and across the street at the Rose Garden. At this writing, parking is $4 an hour.
