Black and White Photography Day on Commercial Drive
Details
Commercial Drive, AKA The Drive is a vibrant, bohemian cultural hub in the Grandview-Woodland neighborhood. It is renowned for its eclectic mix of over 300 merchants, authentic Italian heritage (Little Italy), diverse international dining, indie boutiques, and a lively café culture. It has also been named one of the coolest streets in the world
by Time Out.
What can I photograph?
The Drive is quirky. It’s buildings are no higher than 4 stories, some are over 100 years old. You’ll find interesting textures, old storefronts and signage, unique windows and doors, graffiti and murals. It is a wonderful location to practice street photography. The theme of this photowalk is black and white.
RAIN … as we write this, there is a slight chance of rain on Saturday morning We will let you know no later than 6pm Friday if we have to postpone. We reserve the right to cancel this event if there are fewer than 5 attendees.
Where will we meet?
We will meet outside Cafe Calabria. We will go for coffee following the photowalk - where to be determined. FYI many coffee shops on the drive are CASH only.
What should I bring?
Your camera of choice. It doesn't matter smartphone, point and shoot, DSLR or mirrorless …. any camera is fine.
