Car Free Day on Main Street is a lively celebration of community, culture, and sustainability. This annual event transforms the iconic street into a pedestrian paradise, filled with live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. With incredible performers across different stages, it's a day to enjoy vibrant performances, connect with neighbours, and embrace the joy of car-free living.

WHERE WILL MEET:
We are going to meet for coffee FIRST at JJ Bean Main &14th at 10:30.
If you are unable to join us for coffee, we will meet you outside at 11:30. The event officially starts at noon. We thought ½ hour to wander atound before the crowds arrive might allow for interesting images of vendors and merchant’s displays and set ups.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Main Street will be closed between 10th Avenue and 30th Avenue.
The event strives for festival goers to find environmentally friendly ways of transportation to reduce carbon footprints. (If you need to drive, there is limited street parking).
It is easily accessible by transit, biking or walking distance.
Car Free Day Main Street is minutes away from bus routes 3, 9, and 25, depending on where you want to enter the festival.
Canada Line’s King Edward Station is also just a 15-minute walk away. Bike Valet will also be there, so you can ride and park your bike with ease.
*Rain - if the weather is looking miserable, we will cancel this meet-up no later than 6pm on September 12
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
A camera, it doesn't matter if you have a camera phone, a point and shoot or a DSLR, any camera is fine Wear comfortable clothes and footwear.
Large crowds are expected and it may be impossible to stay together as a group. If you feel uncomfortable about this, bring a friend or buddy up with someone at the beginning of the photowalk. Why don’t we try to keep an eye on each other … wait for a straggler?
RSVP Protocol - if you RSVP to this event and then can’t make it please have the courtesy to change your RSVP so we know in advance that you are not coming. Please do this a soon as you know so that another member on the waiting list can attend.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel this meet up if there are fewer than 5 attendees.
