Framing History - The Fort Langley National Historic Site

There is an Admission fee to enter the Historic Site: $10 adult, $8.50 Senior

Established by the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1827 as an important fur-trading post on the Fraser River, Fort Langley played a significant role in the region’s early history. In 1858, it became known as the “Birthplace of British Columbia,” when the Colony of British Columbia was proclaimed here.

Today, the fort offers a chance to step back in time, with historic buildings, costumed interpreters, and the working blacksmith area providing plenty of opportunities for photography.

We will be going for coffee following the photowalk. Location will be provided when we meet.

If anyone is interested in joining us we will be walking around the village of Fort Langley after coffee for further photo opportunities.

HOW DO I GET THERE: For transit info....www.translink.ca. If driving, There is free parking on site for up to 4 hours when you register your license plate at the Visitor Centre after purchasing your admission ticket.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
A Camera, it doesn't matter if you have a camera phone, a point and shoot or a DSLR, any camera is fine.....a tripod is Wear comfortable clothes and footwear.

RSVP Protocol - if you RSVP to this event and then can’t make it please have the courtesy to change your RSVP so we know in advance that you are not coming. Please do this a soon as you know so that another member on the waiting list can attend.
