South Granville - Doors and Entrances

This will be an architectural treasure hunt, looking for a collection of doors that each tell a different story. We will meet at 10:00, BEFORE the photowalk for coffee. We will then head out at 11:00 am and explore residential side streets.

Following the photowalk, for those interested we will then visit the Bau-xi Gallery (solo exhibition by Jamie Evrard).

WHAT CAN I PHOTOGRAPH? We will concentrate on doors, entrances and other interesting architectural features, looking for individuality, colour, symmetry and signs of age. We will concentrate mostly on doors and entrances of three-storey buildings. The most interesting photographs might not be the grandest entrances. A modest wooden door with original glass, decorative trim, stone steps or an unusual house number can make a beautiful image.

HOW DO I GET THERE: For transit info....www.translink.ca. If driving there is unlimited free parking south of 16th street off Granville in residential areas.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
A Camera, it doesn't matter if you have a camera phone, a point and shoot or a DSLR, any camera is fine.....a tripod is Wear comfortable clothes and footwear.
