Commercial “Street” and the Fred Herzog Exhibit

Details
Hi everyone,
Here is an interesting photowalk on
Saturday if any one is interested in attending
PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP!
Commercial Street was a main centre of commerce for the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood in the early 1900’s. The few blocks that remain are an eclectic mix of coffee shops, galleries and small shops.
One of the Galleries, the Equinox Gallery is hosting an exhibit titled Vitality: Fred Herzog Photographs In and Around Chinatown as part of the Capture Festival. It is a solo exhibition of street photographs by Fred Herzog, chronicling the street life of Vancouver’s Chinatown and surrounding neighbourhoods in the 1950s and 1960s. We will spend sufficient time in the gallery and will then proceed to walk around Commercial Street.
Where will we meet?
We will meet FOR COFFEE FIRST at the Commercial Street Cafe 3599 Commercial Street at 11:00. If you are unable to join us for coffee, we will meet outside the Equinox Gallery at 12:15
