Engineering with PHP
Details
Our next Vancouver PHP meetup is here!
Save the date for October 6, 2026 and join us for another evening of technical talks, discussion, and networking with the local PHP community.
Whether you’re just getting started with PHP or have years of experience, this meetup is designed to be approachable, technical, and community-driven.
What to expect:
- Practical technical talks
- Open discussion and Q&A
- Time to connect with fellow PHP developers over snacks and drinks
We’re excited to share the two talks lined up for the evening:
Andre | Senior Backend Developer at Pixieset
Andre will take us behind the scenes of running AI models at scale to power photo search across large libraries of images, sharing the technical challenges, decisions, and lessons learned along the way.
Dan | Senior Full Stack Developer at Pixieset
Dan will share how Pixieset manages evolving global timezone rules, including challenges the team has encountered, how they've been addressed in the short term, and the longer-term approach to keeping timezone data accurate.
We hope you’ll join us!
