How to Split Without Making a Mess | Melissa de Korte
·OnlineOnlineSESSION TRACK:
Power BI & ExcelSESSION OUTLINE:
Joseph Yeates will start things off by showing us some of the latest and greatest in Power BI. Then, Microsoft MVP Melissa de Korte will explore cool ways to split our data. Power Query has a family of splitter functions built for text problems that go beyond a simple Split Column transformation. You can split text by much more than a comma or a space. Splitters can work with changing delimiters, character transitions, lengths, positions, ranges and other patterns. In this session, we'll use some of these functions to solve practical problems.SPEAKER PROFILE:
Melissa de Korte is a Microsoft MVP, Community Super User, speaker, and co-author of The Definitive Guide to Power Query (M). She shares Power Query tutorials and M explanations on YouTube that help Excel and Power BI users solve data challenges and develop a stronger understanding of M.Connect with Melissa:

Stunning Reports. Smarter Workflows. | Jakob Nielsen
·OnlineOnlineSESSION TRACK:
ExcelSESSION OUTLINE:
We're excited to have Jakob Nielsen (a member of Microsoft's Excel design team) presenting the second in his series of 3 sessions for us!Formatting the same report repeatedly is a time sink, especially when the data changes. In this session, we’ll take a deep dive into Flow, an Excel add‑in by Make Digital Solutions (https://bit.ly/flowaddin) that automates layout and styling so you can produce dynamic, visually compelling reports without repetitive formatting work.
We’ll walk through practical patterns for building consistent outputs such as dashboards, heat maps, calendars, timelines, and product catalogs, and show how Flow helps keep results polished and consistent as your data updates.
Stay tuned for Jakob's third presentation at the end of the year!
