Practical AI for Excel: Real-World Use Cases | Fay Bordbar
·OnlineOnlineSESSION TRACK:
ExcelSESSION OUTLINE:
AI is changing the way we work with data — but where does it actually fit alongside Excel? In this session, Fay Bordbar will walk us through practical, real-world use cases where AI tools and Excel work together, from speeding up everyday tasks to tackling problems that used to feel out of reach. You'll leave with concrete ideas you can apply straight away, whatever your current Excel level.SPEAKER PROFILE:
Fay Bordbar is a digital skills trainer, passionate about building skills for the future. Fay trained and studied for her ACA at Deloitte, working predominantly in audit analytics. When she was challenged to recreate some SQL scripts in Excel, she realised how much she didn't know about Excel, which motivated her to learn more and her enthusiasm for Excel started there!
Now, as Managing Director of Excellence AI, Fay takes that mission further. Excellence AI delivers future-ready corporate training in Excel, AI Literacy, and AI tools such as Copilot and Claude, helping teams build the technical skills they need in an AI-ready world.
Outside of work, Fay co-hosts the Global Excel Summit and is co-founder of Excel on the Road, a community bringing in-person Excel events to people across the world. You can follow the journey and pick up training content along the way on Substack, Instagram, and LinkedIn, @ExcelOnTheRoad.

How to Split Without Making a Mess | Melissa de Korte
·OnlineOnlineSESSION TRACK:
Power BI & ExcelSESSION OUTLINE:
Joseph Yeates will start things off by showing us some of the latest and greatest in Power BI. Then, Microsoft MVP Melissa de Korte will explore cool ways to split our data. Power Query has a family of splitter functions built for text problems that go beyond a simple Split Column transformation. You can split text by much more than a comma or a space. Splitters can work with changing delimiters, character transitions, lengths, positions, ranges and other patterns. In this session, we'll use some of these functions to solve practical problems.SPEAKER PROFILE:
Melissa de Korte is a Microsoft MVP, Community Super User, speaker, and co-author of The Definitive Guide to Power Query (M). She shares Power Query tutorials and M explanations on YouTube that help Excel and Power BI users solve data challenges and develop a stronger understanding of M.Connect with Melissa:
