Merging Magic with Power Query

Details
NOTE:
As mentioned at our October meet-up, we are moving to a new format where we will host 2 meet-ups each month. Our goal is to have one presentation focused on Power BI and one on Excel (though some presentations may overlap both tracks). We'll note the session's track(s) at the top of each event page.
SESSION TRACK:
Power BI & Excel
SESSION OUTLINE:
Joseph Yeates will start off the evening by going over some of the latest features in Power BI.
Next, Ken Puls will present on different ways to merge your Excel and Power BI data. If you've ever tried to compare two lists for equalities or inequalities in Excel, you know how hard that could be. Fortunately, Power Query makes this easy in Excel and Power BI. In this session we'll begin by looking at the 6 different join types native to Power Query. But then we'll step into a more challenging world... the hidden 7th join type, fuzzy matching, approximate matching and even making matches against different rows of your data table (in an efficient manner). After this session, you'll be armed with methods to match (or view mismatches) in virtually any way you can think of!
