Joseph Yeates will start things off by showing us some of the latest updates and features in Power BI. The we have Power BI and DAX expert, Greg Deckler, as our featured presenter, who will help us rethink how we use DAX. Every technology, over time, develops a certain amount of “conventional wisdom” or “best practices”. However, this culture or group think does not always apply in all cases or is even necessarily correct. This session will cover the following topics:

SPEAKER PROFILE:
Greg Deckler is a prolific writer and respected authority in the field of business intelligence, particularly known for his expertise in Microsoft Power BI and DAX. With over 30 years of experience in technology consulting, Greg currently serves as Vice President at a global technology consulting services firm.
Greg’s literary contributions include several influential books aimed at both beginners and advanced users of Power BI, including Learn Power BI 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions, DAX Cookbook, Power BI Cookbook 2nd and 3rd editions, Mastering Power BI 2nd edition, and The Definitive Guide to Power Query (M).
Greg is also an active Power BI community member, having authored more than 7,500 solutions on the Power BI community forums and nearly 200 entries to the community’s Quick Measure Gallery. In addition, Greg often blogs, has founded Power BI user groups, presents at various conferences, and is a seven-time Microsoft MVP for Data Platform.
Beyond writing and community involvement, Greg also runs the YouTube channels Microsoft Hates Greg and DAX For Humans. In addition, Greg is the author of numerous external tools for Power BI including Microsoft Hates Greg’s Quick Measures (MSHGQM).

REGISTRATION:
This meet-up will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, and will be recorded to share with others who were not able to attend live. You must RSVP for the event in order to access the Teams Meeting link.
JOINING THE EVENT:
Attendees can join the Teams Meeting starting at 8:45am on the day of the event. The link will be visible only if you RSVP beforehand.
Once the event gets underway at 9:00am, we ask that attendees make sure they are on MUTE, so background noise and distractions are minimized.
During the presentation, attendees can type questions and comments into the chat area, which will be monitored by the event hosts. There will be time for Q&A at the end, where attendees can un-mute their mic and even share their video to ask questions.
