What we’re about
Vancouver Tree Lovers Group meets to observe and appreciate all botany mindfully. Through the medium of stories we hope to bond with trees. Each walk is a curated route to learn to identify trees, about their cultural relationship to us, and appreciate their majestic beauty mindfully.
As humans, we once told stories that involved the biodiversity and us. Slowly, through the passage of time, we began to exclude biodiversity until a point today, where almost all our stories are about ourselves, and we no longer recognise most trees around us — becoming tree blind. Loss of stories with biodiversity is the first step in our loss of relationship with the trees around us.
