Meet at 12:00 p.m. at Klineline Pond Park near the main parking area by the pond and restrooms. From there we’ll walk together onto the Salmon Creek Greenway Trail.

We’ll follow the paved path along Salmon Creek and the wetlands heading west, then turn around at the halfway point and return the same way. The route is about 2.5 miles round trip, mostly flat, and at an easy, conversational pace.

This area is part of the Salmon Creek restoration corridor and runs behind residential neighborhoods, showing how Vancouver preserved natural green space inside the city. This time of year you may see winter birds and higher creek levels depending on recent rain.

Since it’s January, expect cool temperatures and possibly damp sections of trail, so dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes.
