UBC's Centre for Artificial Intelligence Decision-making and Action (CAIDA) invites you to the conference "Emerging Technologies: BC's AI Showcase".
The conference will explore emerging and disruptive technologies and connect participants with BC’s leading thought leaders, researchers and industry experts in the field of AI. Discussions will focus on the development and advancement of fundamental AI research in BC, as well as its applications in health and manufacturing.

Student Poster Session
Are you a grad student working under the banner of AI? Does your research focus on fundamental science or on applications of AI in health and manufacturing?
CAIDA invites you to present your research at our student poster session on May 4th. Space is limited, so we ask that you submit your research abstract to our organizing committee. The top 15 abstracts in each theme (Fundamental Science, Health & Manufacturing) will be invited to present a poster. Students chosen to present their poster will be awarded free admission to the conference and the opportunity to network with leaders in their field.
Why should you participate
The poster session will allow you to showcase your AI research while networking with industry and peers.
The conference will:
§ provide an opportunity for you to explain your research and gain valuable feedback;
§ give you a chance to practice communicating your research to a diverse group of people;
§ Let you meet potential collaborators and network with industry.
Preparing Your Abstract
Prepare an abstract of no more than 250 words.
Provide two keywords for your abstract.
Choose your stream (Fundamental Science, Manufacturing or Health)
Register and Submit your Abstract by April 21, 4pm PST.
Please note: Space is limited, event cannot guarantee your abstract will be selected to present.
