Ayurveda Distance Learning course

Dear Ayurvedacharyas!

I am pleased to announce the official launch of Inside Āyurveda: Clinical Education for the Western Practitioner. As a medical herbalist and 17 year veteran of Āyurveda, I developed this distance learning program to share the deep insight and knowledge I have received from this mother of all sciences, the oldest continuously practiced system of medicine on earth. As a Westerner myself, my goal was to develop a program that would provide the Western-educated student with a solid foundation in the theory and practice of Āyurveda, to articulate with clarity and directness the essence of the classical tradition. The course itself is divided into 20 lessons that provide a thorough review of key concepts in Āyurveda, including the tridoṣa (three humours), dinācaryā (daily regimen), dravyaguṇa (pharmacology), nidāna (clinical assessment and diagnosis) and pañca karma (purification), as well as an extensive review of Indian herbs and formulas, and the integration of non-Indian herbs in clinical practice.

Graduates of Inside Āyurveda will receive a certificate issued by the Dogwood School of Botanical Medicine. If you are interested in taking this course for Continuing Education credit, please send an inquiry to [address removed]. Graduates of the program are also eligible for further study and training in India and Nepal.

Students in Vancouver are eligible to come from free monthly lectures, Q&A, and potluck!
