Announcing a new Meetup for Smart Singles!

What: Cross Border Wine Tasting Update

When: Saturday, October 23,[masked]:00 PM

Price: CAD35.00 per person

Where: Point Roberts Marina
713 Simundson Drive Upstairs Lounge
Point Roberts, WA 98281

Update: The #1 Cross Border Affair Wine Tasting door prize is fabulous! 2 tickets to the Playhouse Wine Fest 2011. 190 dollar value! And there are more great door prizes to win as well!

Here's a fun way to spend an afternoon: Like Washington wine? Or is it all BC for you? Have you tried the fruits of our local wine regions side by side? The Okanagan Valley and the Columbia Valley are neighbors - both with an extensive fruit growing history that is evolving into a complex and comprehensive wine culture.

As British Columbians and Washingtonians we're fierce local supporters - but what does your palate say? The goal of the wine tasting is to compare 5 British Columbia and 5 Washington wines in an informative and entertaining setting. There will be no pressure to swirl, sniff, spit or swill a certain way. You'll learn a little, try a lot and hopefully, find a new favourite wine!

In addition to being a fun way to try wines, all proceeds go to End The Pain Project - a non-profit helping amputees at home and abroad whose lives are impacted by phantom limb pain.

Tix $35: [address removed].
Where: Point Roberts Marina ? 713 Simundson Drive -Upstairs Club

P.S.Don't forget your passport!
And you need to spend 24 hours in Point Roberts to qualify for bringing wine back to BC duty free. But the wine program will point you to BC wine sources for the 'tasting' wines.
