Every company—even the best-run companies with highly engaged employees—has room to improve its employee experience. And while most organizations know this, they can sometimes feel pretty stuck on what to do and how to do it. Turns out many of the UX techniques applied in the quest for great interaction and user experience design are equally applicable to employee experience design.

In this 45 minute session, Caterina Sanders will share a global case study in employee experience (EX) where you will learn about:

• What is employee experience?
• Collaborative research methods and strategies for engaging employees locally as well as across the globe, in multiple languages and formats
• Practical considerations for analyzing data and creating insights collaboratively
• How to create an engaging, practical, and measurable roadmap for communicating a thoughtful and fulfilling employee experience

There will be lots of “what we did” examples and tips in this session, and you will also hear how we co-created and co-delivered the entire program alongside our clients, and how through that process they shifted to a new mental model of organizational experimentation, ongoing learning, and experience agility, while of course also moving forward in their journey of great employee experience.

A nineteen-year veteran in the field of user and experience design, Caterina works on our culture and transformation, strategy and digital workplace engagements. She is an expert facilitator, experience designer and communicator.

Caterina is actually a founding member of VanUE (!) and currently sits on the CSA Technical Committee for Caregiver-friendly Workplaces. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Travel is a longstanding passion for her and her family, and in 2015, they all took a year’s leave to travel the world.
