How does it work?
Each person* will get 10 minutes of face time with an industry professional. You can talk about anything you'd like, from career advice and progression to design-related problems and trends. Once the 10 minutes are up, you'll rotate to the next UX practitioner. This continues until we've done a full rotation or until the end of the session.
Depending on numbers, you might be paired up with another attendee for the rotation.
Who are the UX practitioners?
- Robert Westwood, Principal User Experience Designer @ Autodesk
- Vivien Anayian, Staff UX/Product Designer @ Teck Resources, IDEA Faculty Instructor @ CapU
- Wren Peters, Senior Product Designer @ Vester Inc.
- Andy Yeh, UX Researcher @ Samsung Research
- Gil Barros, Ph.D, Senior Design Researcher
- Raymond Xian, Product Designer
- Ratta Kidakarn, Product Design Consultant
- Dave Kachman, Senior User Experience Designer at OXD
Why should I come?
This is a great opportunity to get advice from industry practitioners on some of the challenges that you've been facing or you can use this time to network and meet new people.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with other UX professionals and gain valuable insights into your career in UX. We hope to see you there!
Where do the fees go?
VanUE relies on the kindness and generosity of sponsors and volunteers to run events that break even. We ask for a small fee to help us cover the costs of organizing the events. We use the money from the events to fund future events or speakers, or sometimes to pay for part of a social activity after an event.
