Let's go for a walk! Head to Heritage Park this Saturday afternoon for an autumn jaunt along the serene Lacamas Lake. While the water level is a little low given the time of year, the vibes are peaceful and refreshing.

  • Directions and Parking: Head to the large parking lot at Heritage Park in Camas (303 NW Lake Rd, Camas, WA 98607), grab a parking spot, and meet up near the Heritage Boat Launch/Dock. I'll be wearing an orange jacket and black pants for easy spotting. Can't find us? Text me at (352) 283-1409.
  • Warning: There is a Heritage Park in East Vancouver. This meetup will be held at the Heritage Park next to Lacamas Lake in Camas! Address: 303 NW Lake Rd, Camas, WA 98607
  • Walking Plan: Gather and say hello near the Heritage Park Boat Launch. We'll leave from the boat dock around 2:05pm, walk out along the Lacamas Heritage Trail for 40 minutes, then turn and head back to the parking lot to return by 3:30pm. The trail varies and can fit 2-3 people wide for conversations as we walk.
  • Weather: As of Tuesday, it's expected to be in the low 50s around the time of our walk with a 10% chance of rain. Bundle up as needed!
  • Accessibility: Per the City of Camas website, "The trail is good for all skill levels and is accessible year-round." There is some paved and flat trail here, but I believe the majority will be unpaved and slightly hilly.
  • Dogs Welcome: Per the City of Camas website, dogs are allowed on leash. Note that the trail is heavily used by hikers, runners, and bikers. If anyone is concerned with dogs joining due to dog allergies, past trauma, etc., please send me a note.
  • You can read more on the trail here: https://www.cityofcamas.us/parksrec/page/heritage-park

Reminder: Everyone is welcome, regardless of where you might be on your journey towards compassionate living. Looking forward to seeing you there.
