Would like to invite you to their Annual General Meeting for 2014

Agenda:

1. Call to Order and Establishment of quorum based upon the 11 current members of VanLug and additional new and renewed memberships.

2. Presentation and acceptance of Minutes from the 2013 AGM (Brian Matheson).

3. Acceptance of 2014 Agenda.

4. The Year in Review (John Weintraub).

5. Financial Reports (Alishams Hassam).

6. Membership dues review.

7. VanLug Dave Michelson Award Presentation.

8. Special resolutions:

A. To permit the by-laws of the society to allow transmission of notices to paid members by electronic technology, (e.g., e-mail, web, SMS, etc), especially as regards notices of AGMs, SGMs, and EGMs.

B. To change the date of board meetings to be the first Monday of each month, barring conflicting holidays, in which case, the board meeting will be held on the following Monday.

C. To make "quorum" for Board Meetings to be 3 (three) board members, one of whom must be from the Executive.

D. To "roll over" all previous motions and resolutions adopted by the Vancouver Linux Users Group, so that they continue to be binding for the new electoral mandate.

E. Call for Resolutions from the floor.

9. Elections to the Board of Directors.

10. Set the date and time of the first meeting of the new BoD.

11. Book Raffle. (Bill McGrath).

12. Motion to Adjourn.

13. Year end celebration at Steamworks.
