This is the inaugural meeting for Vancouver BSD Users Group. BSD is the open-source derivative of UNIX.

The purpose of the group is to learn about and understand the varieties of BSD and the software it supports, its implementation, how to support it, install it, troubleshoot it, and, hopefully, some professional development for those wanting to learn how to implement some "flavour" of BSD into a production environment.

Sha'ul Baptie is the founder of the group, and has a great deal of experience and knowledge about BSD and its variations. This is open to anyone interested in BSD (and UNIX, since the two OSs and their varieties have a fair amount of overlap). There are NO membership fees; membership is on a show-up basis.

Hope to see you there!
