Official Notice of the VanLUG Annual General Meeting

As required by the Society Act of British Columbia, and in accordance with the VanLUG bylaws, this is the official announcement for the 2016 Annual General Meeting of the Vancouver Linux Users Group.

When: Monday, 24 October, 2016

Time: 7:00 P.M.

Where: Room 1415

SFU Harbour Centre

515 West Hastings Street, Vancouver

NOTE: October 24th is the fourth Monday in October and is in addition to our regular meeting, one week earlier on the 17th.

The purpose of our AGM is to review the activities of the last year, pass any necessary major resolutions, and elect a new Board of Directors for the coming year.

Please consider joining the Board. We have a number of projects on the front burner and need talented help with them. The work at hand is well within the skillsets of many Vanlug members and we can use your assistance. But if you'd like to get involved without joining the Board, we can work that out too, although a Director's duties are very light. We are especially in need of assistance with the backend of our WordPress MySQL database.

You must have a currently valid paid membership ($20) to vote for the directors and on any resolutions, but memberships will be on sale before the meeting starts or can be purchased through the website.

So mark your calendar, and try and attend. We're looking forward to a good turnout.
