Annual General Meeting -- 2018 (Held on ELEVENTH floor, suite 1100)

This is our Annual General Meeting, which includes any alterations to our bylaws, a summation report by the Board and Executive of the activities and funding from the previous mandate period, and election of the new
Board of Directors and Executive.
- There are nine director-at-large positions.
- There are Four Executive positions, i.e.: President, Vice-President,
Treasurer and Secretary - There are also two positions that are considered part of the executive,
specifically, Membership Secretary and Social Media Coordinators.
Nominations (including self-nominations) may be emailed to myself (johnweintraub@gmail.com) or the President, Bill McGrath (bill3@uniserve.com); Nominations may also be taken from the floor.
To vote one must be a paid member of vanlug, which you can do here (https://vanlug.bc.ca/membership-account/membership-levels/) or at the time of the AGM.
We are always looking for new blood, new faces, and the time-commitment is NOT very great (we promise!). Please consider joining the board of directors, or at least, volunteering for one of our many committees:
- Social Events Committee
- Communications Committee
- Lectures/General Meetings Committee
- Email porting committee
- Website Committee
- LinuxFaire Committee
- Swagmeister Committee
- Membership-drive Committee
We will be going to a restaurant as a group, as VanLUG, and these are great opportunities for discussions, learning, and geeky fun.
