Linux Security in The Cloud
Details
Matt Carolan, a local Vancouver Public Cloud Architect will be presenting to the Linux Users Group on March 18th on the topic of Security for Linux environments in the Cloud.
His talk highlights the need to be aware of the differences between running linux workloads inhouse and running them on Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.
Many move or build their workloads in the public cloud with the incorrect belief that the cloud provider will look after security for them, or that loading security on their linux boxes is the best and most cost effective way.
In this talk we'll explore why this is flawed thinking and how you can run enterprise level security in most cases for no cost at all on Azure and AWS
