Note that this event will carry on past the expiry time/date, basically for as long as people are interested. It's online. The actual "venue" online is "#vanlug:matrix.org" (no quotes). The link offered elsewhere takes you to the website, not the IRC channel. BUT, if you use the "try now" button, you should be taken to a page that offers you a variety of methods (via software, or through the website via element.io) to get to a page where you can set up an account, and proceed onward.
