Room 1: Beginners Introduction to Linux: Open Source Tools for Startups and Entrepreneurs with Melissa Jane Marketing

Room 2: Intermediate: "Writing fast code for Linux!" with Vlad Nikolic
This talk will cover how to make your C and C++ code run faster using both Linux-specific and some generally applicable methods. We will go over some causes of software slowdowns, how to diagnose them, and then how to address them. From optimizing file access, cache memory, compiler flags, profiling tools, vectorization, and perhaps some multithreading. Some concepts such as Non-Uniform Memory Access might also be discussed.
