Talk: There's an API for That! (Mariatta)
You might have seen bots like GitHub bots, Discord bots, Slack bots. How do these bots work? There's an API for that! You can use third-party APIs to build web apps and automations, including bots. Come learn the best practices on how to work with APIs using Python.

Talk: Exploring Google APIs with Python (Wesley Chun)
You may be familiar with Google tools like search, YouTube, Android, Chrome, and Gmail, but have you wondered how to integrate Google technologies into the web+mobile apps that you build? Google has multiple API families available to help developers achieve this goal. These include product areas like Google Cloud (GCP), Google Workspace (GWS: Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), Google Maps, YouTube, and others, each of which are supported by open source client libraries. If you've ever tried Google APIs in the past, found it challenging or lacking examples in the docs, run into roadblocks, or otherwise got confused, we'll try to break down all those roadblocks so you can get something working tonight.
While many Google APIs are free to use (up to certain limits), some are "pay-per-use," meaning you're billed for usage above and beyond any "free tiers" of quota; these include APIs from GCP & Maps. In addition to APIs, GCP also provides cloud-hosting services. In summary, it's not about individual APIs and cloud services as much as it is about the problems that can be solved by using them. This session exposes as many popular Google APIs as time permits as well as key Python-supported GCP platforms, perhaps even a live demo or two. Join us for this informative session to show how Google can power your next Python project!

Help Needed with Setup and Teardown
We will need volunteers to help with set up and tear down. (setting up chairs, putting them away, clean up after the event). Just show up to help out.
