About Alan Goldman

Alan has taught courses in the fields of film and digital media at numerous private and public institutions. He completed his MAA at Emily Carr University focusing on Stereoscopic 3D and its effect on documentary filmmaking. Currently Alan is an Adjunct Researcher and Industry Liaison at the S3D Centre at Emily Carr University. The Centre creates experimental content with the devices associated with VR & AR. And also serves as a collaborative space where SME’s can prototype tools for the capture and processing of immersive content. Alan began his career in radio and was part of the award-winning team that produced the five-part national CBC Radio documentary series 'A Matter of Survival', hosted by Dr. David Suzuki. Alan also produced the award winning 'Glowing In The Dark', which looks at the history of neon light in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. His semi-autobiographical film 'Who The Jew Are You?' premiered at the Doxa Festival in 2009.

About Eric Hine

Eric Hine is the Executive Producer at Archiact VR, one of the largest VR content providers in the world. He built and published 12+ products on almost every VR platform. He has been developing games for over 10 years professionally and playing games for over 30 years. Eric’s roles as Lead Designer and Producer at PopCap Games, Product Manager at DeNA, and Associate Producer at Electronic Arts have made him a key leader in the gaming and entertainment industries.

About Kayla Kinnunen

Kayla is a director, producer, designer, and developer of VR games in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. She has spent over 15 years in game development including 10 years at EA and 5 years at Roadhouse Interactive. AAA, indie, console, PC, mobile, web, design, production, engineering, QA, and even IT - Kayla’s expertise is broad. A VR fan since the 90s, she is excited to explore the design space in this emerging medium.

About Wren Handman

Wren Handman is the author of two novels, a multitude of plays, and one television show. She is the driving force behind creative content for Hammer & Tusk, a VR product studio and global community. On top of their weekly newsletter, Wren writes blog posts about the interesting topics in immersive content. She creates similar content for H&T's artificial intelligence cousin, Leviathan.

About Mack Flavelle (Moderator)

Mack Flavelle is the founder of Hammer & Tusk, the online community for immersive entertainment. Hammer & Tusk curates the best content, runs the most interesting experiments and builds the coolest projects in the VR/AR Space. In 2015 Hammer & Tusk was acquired by Axiom Zen.

Previously Mack was VP of Marketing at Tapstream, CEO at Compass Engine (sold to East Side Games), advisor to Ghostbird Software (acquired by Yahoo) and CareLedger (YC W2015) and a bunch of other things better left unsaid.
