5th Annual Vegan ThanksLiving Potluck @ Celebration with Liberated Turkeys
**5th Annual Vegan ThanksLiving Dinner & Potluck** Thursday, November 22nd at 4:00 PM -- Our vegan ThanksLiving feast has become an annual tradition for the past four years. We would love to welcome you to our home to celebrate an amazing, cruelty-free ThanksLiving feast. The event will be potluck style, but main dishes & some traditional staples are provided by the hosts. Please e-mail the host once you know what you will be bringing at [masked]. A wide range of food is encouraged! In the past, we have had guests bring cuisine from their culture or home country, homemade raw desserts, and other vegan favorites. We just ask that all dishes be vegan and animal-friendly (no animal meat, dairy, eggs, honey etc.) We are looking forward to seeing old friends and family and meeting new ones! Stove and oven use will NOT be available for guests bringing hot items, so make sure to plan accordingly. We will have extra outlets for crockpots and the ability to keep cold items refrigerated. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, but BYOB for additional beverages. A short tour of Sanctuary Moon, a home for rescued, formerly "farmed" animals will take place at 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM for guests that arrive early, weather permitting. Guests are welcome to make a tax-deductible contribution to Sanctuary Moon if they feel moved, which goes directly to care for our non-human residents. At 4:00 pm we will kick off this event by allowing our liberated turkeys to enjoy a ThanksLiving feast of their own (along with the other residents). Our turkeys were all rescued from the animal agriculture system and we will celebrate their life at the sanctuary where they have the opportunity to live happy, safe and free, unlike so many others on this day. Please only RSVP if you are certain you can attend, as space will be limited for this event. Address will be provided when you RSVP. Please call or text Erica at[masked] if you have any questions!
