Together at Zurich National Animal Rights Day 2026 🐾
Details
After a two-year pause, the National Animal Rights Day (NARD) (https://thenard.org/) is returning to Zürich!
The NARD is a global day of remembrance and solidarity: a moment for people in cities around the world to come together, pause, and collectively acknowledge and commemorate the immense scale of animal suffering that takes place, largely out of sight, in our everyday world.
It is also an affirmation that another way of living is possible.
For many of us, such gatherings serve as a reminder of why we care, and that there exists a community that stands for the same principles. Alongside commemoration, it also includes a celebration of the progress that is being made towards reducing animal suffering.
This is a legally registered, peaceful demonstration to stand up for animal rights. It’s not a disruptive or confrontational protest. The atmosphere is calm, respectful, and welcoming to everyone.
👥 Our Meetup Plan
Going to an event like this on your own can feel intimidating and overwhelming 😬. It’s easy to feel unsure about where to stand, who to talk to, or whether you’ll end up alone in the crowd.
That’s why we’re going together in a supportive, like-minded group of familiar faces to talk to, walk with, and share the energy of the day 💬🌱.
Let's meet directly at Züghusplatz at 13.45. The demonstration takes place 14.00-16.00. If there is enough interest after, we can also go for a drink or food together.
