February Vegan Community Plantluck, North Liberty Community Center
Details
Join the Vegan Community of Eastern Iowa for a gathering on Sunday, February 15th. This event is open to friends old and new. Bring a favorite dish to share. Social hour begins at 4pm. We will make announcements and eat around 5pm. We have limited space with only 40 spots available.
We welcome everyone whether vegan or just vegan curious. Come share the amazing food and recipes.
* (Parking at the north end of the community center usually offers more parking and is also closer to the room we use, this is opposite of the main entrance.)
For the plantluck, please bring:
- A vegan dish that provides 8-10 servings. Electrical outlets are available if you have a crock pot. (for those new to veganism, the term ‘vegan’ means no animal flesh or fat, dairy, eggs, or honey)
- Recipes for the dishes for people to duplicate or for allergy avoidance.
- Please bring your own table service (plate, eating utensils, cup)
Additional Information:
- Please plan to bring a $5 donation per person, if possible, to cover the cost of the facility fee and other expenses.
- If you make a reservation but cannot attend, please change your reservation to "Not Going."
- Help with cleanup after event is appreciated.
- We will be observing the following COVID-19 guidelines:
- Stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, etc.), are waiting for COVID-19 test results, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, of if you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
- We will be collecting attendee information (names, phone number, email address) to facilitate COVID contact tracing if needed.
- Public interaction carries a risk of exposure to COVID-19 or other illness. Participants assume the risk upon sign in and attendance. Vegan Community of Eastern Iowa will not be responsible in the event of exposure to COVID-19, illness or other health risks.
- To make an informed decision about your COVID-19 risk, we encourage you to read the following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .
