Please Join Us for Our Gentle Thanksgiving Event! Sunday, November 22, at 2pm, at the all-vegan VeggieLife Restaurant, at 1732 North Berwick Rd., Wells., Maine. Our wonderful fellow Vegan Maine member, Sarah Conroy, has kindly offered to be the host for this event, as well as the incredible owner of VeggieLife Restaurant, Jaime Shaw!!! (as I will not be able to make it) Thank you, Sarah and Jaime!! Here are the details:
We are excited to have VeggieLife all to ourselves for this special event. Our Gentle Thanksgiving will feature a festive buffet with a variety of yummy selections, including vegan Thanksgiving fare, a selection of yummy vegan desserts, and a full cash bar. The full menu is being finalized, and will be posted as soon as it’s available. The following are expected:
Lasagna
Mac & Cheese
Holiday Roast "Turkey"
Gravy
Mashed Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Creamed Corn
Dinner Rolls
Apple Crisp
Depending on your requests as you RSVP we can offer gluten-free or other allergy-friendly options.
Our host, Jaime Shaw is offering a very special price at $60 per person (desserts available for an additional fee). You will pay when you arrive at the restaurant so please help us with an accurate headcount by changing your RSVP should your circumstances change. The restaurant can accommodate 40 guests so you are welcome to invite others to share the bounty. As this is a special event, meant to honor community and express the thanks of the season, folks are encouraged to bring their favorite recipes to share – if you wish to share a special dish you have prepared, that is welcome as well, but not required.
But it need not end there….Veggie Life has agreed to allow folks to linger over desserts and beverages and suggests that Ogunquit might be a great place to gather as an after event should there be interest.
