About Vegan Foodies
Kia Ora!
Haere mai ki te hapori! (Welcome to the group)
Aroha mai, aroha atu (Love in, Love out)
Whether you’re a long-time vegan, just starting your plant-based journey, or curious about living a more compassionate lifestyle, we’re so excited to have you join us!
In Vegan Foodies, we bring together community to share and enjoy delicious plant-based foods, connect with people, make new friends and hopefully inspire non-vegans to learn more about veganism. Here we share delicious foods, recipes, helpful tips, and meaningful conversations about living cruelty free. We’re all about good food and good vibes!
Our intention is to support and serve the community with principle of Ahimsa, non-violence and believe in the non-exploitation of life in all forms. We strive to achieve this by supporting and dining at restaurants that provide more vegan options. Our objective is to raise awareness by dining at these restaurants to help with sustainability, as well as to encourage non-vegan restaurants to serve more vegan dishes and to raise awareness of the situation of the animals caught up in the horrible holocaust. We show restaurant kindness and speak word of kindness through our support to these restaurants. We want to encourage life of compassion and kindness following the principle of veganism. Think good thoughts, speak kind words, and act kindly. Choose compassion over cruelty.
We also list additional vegan events, such as night markets and potluck, movie nights, date nights, talk shows and many other events.
Please join us if you believe that every life is sacred and that “thou shall not kill”!
Let’s support one another, learn together, and create a positive, inclusive space for everyone.
This is Vegan Foodies!

Be Kind and Respectful
Everyone is here to learn and grow. Respect each other’s journeys, regardless of where they are on their vegan path. No judgment, just support! -
Keep It Positive
This is a space for positivity and encouragement. Let’s celebrate each other’s choices and create an uplifting environment for all. -
No Disrespectful Debate
Healthy discussion is encouraged, but let’s keep it friendly. Disrespectful arguments or attempts to convert others are not welcome. -
No Animal Cruelty Content
We’re here to promote compassion. Please avoid sharing graphic or violent images/videos. Instead, share stories and resources that inspire and educate. -
Be Mindful of Food Sensitivities
When sharing recipes or food-related posts, keep in mind that everyone has different tastes and dietary preferences. Please include ingredients clearly so people can make informed choices. -
No Spam or Self-Promotion
This is a community space, not a marketplace. Please refrain from posting sales pitches, affiliate links, or unrelated promotions. Let’s keep the focus on building connections! -
Share Resources and Knowledge
We all have different experiences and expertise. Feel free to share useful articles, recipes, tips, and resources that help others along their plant-based journey. -
Respect Privacy
This is a safe space, so please respect everyone’s privacy. Don’t share any personal information without consent, and be mindful of what you post. -
Be Open-Minded
We all come from different backgrounds, and there’s always room to learn. Approach each conversation with an open heart and a willingness to learn and grow. -
Profile Picture
Yes, a profile picture can be important, especially for creating a first impression online. It adds a personal touch and helps others connect with you more easily. Whether for social media, professional networking sites, a good profile picture can build trust and make you seem approachable. It doesn’t have to be a professional photo, but something that reflects your personality.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Looking forward to meeting you!
