🐶🥩🤠 Join us for our first-ever “dog meat” tasting, hosted at Soulard Farmers Market!

That’s right: we’re bringing Elwood’s Organic Dog Meat, the internet’s most infamous family farm, to the streets of St. Louis.

At this deliciously deadpan demonstration, we will:

1. 🍖 Serve free samples of “dog meat” to unsuspecting passersby (100% vegan, 0% dog)
2. 🐷 Ask one simple question: why do we love dogs but eat pigs?
3. 💚 Spark kind, curious conversations about veganism, one free sample at a time

Elwood’s dogs are free-range, local, organic, antibiotic-free, and humanely slaughtered. Sound familiar? That’s the point.

Elwood’s isn’t real. But the outrage it sparks is, and so is the question behind it: if the thought of eating a Labrador turns your stomach, why doesn't the thought of eating a pig, an animal every bit as sensitive and loving as any dog?

Most people never think about this at all. Our job is to make them think: with a smile, a free sample, and a menu they’ll never forget.

This tongue-in-cheek action is for you if you:

• 🐶 love dogs (and want people to love pigs, cows, and chickens just as much)
• 😂 believe humor can open hearts that arguments can’t
• 🌱 are looking for a fun, low-pressure first action

🤠 HOW IT WORKS:

We’ll set up shop with Elwood’s signage, menus, and farmhand badges, then offer free samples of “Pug Bacon,” “Labrador Steaks,” and other farm favorites to anyone who walks by. When people recoil (and they will), we’ll gently ask why. No gotchas, no lectures, and nothing about any other country or culture: this is about us and our own double standards. As Elwood’s likes to put it, anyone upset by the farm is simply having a vegan experience.

All samples are 100% vegan. Dogs are welcome (as guests, not as samples).

🐾 ABOUT ELWOOD’S ORGANIC DOG MEAT:

Elwood’s has offered “delicious dog, since 1981.” Or, more accurately, since 2021, when vegan activist (and standup comic) Molly Elwood launched a satirical “family farm” that markets dog meat using the same language real farms use to sell pigs, cows, and chickens. The farm has since racked up over 4 million website visitors, an ad campaign on the London Underground, and “dog meat” tastings from Toronto to Zagreb. Not bad for a farm with no dogs.
